During his address at the first session of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis, Shavkat Mirziyoyev expressed his opinion on accession into the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU).
“Many of our citizens work in foreign countries, in Kazakhstan, in Russia. We cannot be indifferent to this situation. I want to say one thing. No one will ever give up independence to anyone. Independence is in the hands of a President who is trusted by the people. We will not be a member of this Union, ” Shavkat Mirziyoyev said.
The head of state stressed that an observer is not a member.
“We will see what the pros and cons are, as a spectator. We agreed on many things with Vladimir Vladimirovich in St. Petersburg. Be sure that whatever we do, we will do it taking into account national interests, ” the President concluded.
