A draft “On improving the order of movement of goods by individuals for non-commercial purposes” was published.
The bill, developed by the Customs Committee of Uzbekistan, provides for simplification of the procedure for collecting customs payments, in particular, the introduction of a single customs payment instead of customs payments established by law for individuals importing goods through checkpoints of the state border of the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as for goods arriving at the address of an individual in international postal and courier shipments, for non-commercial purposes.
According to the draft, a single customs payment is charged when the maximum limit of import is exceeded.
It is proposed to establish the following fees for a single customs payment:
– for foodstuffs, 30 percent, but not less than $ 2. US / kg;
– for non-food products-50 percent, but not less than $ 4. US / kg.
