The World Economic Forum (WEF) has published Global Competitiveness Report 2019. 141 countries are represented in the index. Among the Central Asian countries, Kazakhstan was placed 55th, Kyrgyzstan – 96th and Tajikistan – 104th.
The leader in the new rating is Singapore, the second place is taken by the United States, the third – Hong Kong. The five also includes the Netherlands and Switzerland.
The worst competition is observed in countries such as Congo, Chad and Yemen.
